NOVEMBER 2020 – PRM COVID SURVEY – EARLY INDICATIONS
Following the insights gained through first PRM COVID-19 RECOVERY & INSIGHTS survey we have decided to ask for participation in a second survey. Early indications illustrate contrasting experiences to those anticipated from the initial survey earlier in the year . - 30% of participants anticipate 10% to 20% 2019 PRM traffic to travel through their airport in Q4 2020
- 50% of participants expect PRM traffic to reach up to 30% of 2019 numbers in 2021
- 56% expect the recovery period to exceed 3 years ( Versus 79% and 69% who envisioned a 12 month period in the first survey)
- 87% of respondents state that staff retention/job security remains « difficult »
- 37% of respondents envision the regaining of passenger trust to be « very difficult »
- 38% of participants state the “reductions of operational costs” to be the key priority moving forward
- 75% of participants « Other Priorities » are to focus on staff safety
- 85% of participants have experienced up to a 50% staff reduction since the turn of the year
- 50% of participants have engaged in staff repurposing activities
- 28% of respondents have a long-term plan to reinstate staff
- 57% of participants share that contractual obligations/SLAs were readjusted
- 71% of participants do not envision any further significant changes to their PRM operation
